On February 11, 2025, a roundtable discussion was held at the Institute of Macroeconomic and Regional Studies with the participation of local and foreign experts on the topic of Prospects for Increasing Labor Productivity in Uzbekistan.
The roundtable discussion was devoted to the implementation of innovative solutions in Uzbekistan and their impact on labor productivity. The head of the Mingbaev`s Academy of Robotics spoke about the current state of the production of bionic prostheses and exoskeletons and the development of bionics science to increase the contribution of high-value-added products and services in the republic.
The Apollon Engineering enterprise presented an innovative, economical hybrid direct-flow pulverized coal burner for boiler houses. Advantages of the equipment: the combustion efficiency of coal powder reaches 100%, the amount of toxic gases emitted into the atmosphere is reduced by up to 80%, compared to traditional thermal energy generation systems, it allows saving coal consumption by up to 40% and obtaining additional thermal energy by up to 50%.
At the end of the round table discussion, the following recommendations were made by the foreign and local experts involved:
Introduction of modern mechanisms for increasing labor productivity at enterprises (Lean Production, Kaizen);
Improvement of the system of qualification standards for workers and specialists and introduction of an international certification system;
Revision of the mechanism for training narrowly specialized specialists (turners, welders), engineers. In particular, the introduction of an educational-practical approach and the issuance of international qualification certificates in training and production centers at large industrial enterprises;
To improve the system of standardization and certification of innovative proposals and developments in accordance with international regulations in order to commercialize them.
