The 67th session of the Governing Body of the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) is taking place on May 20–22, 2025, in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. The event is attended by Director of the Center for Sectoral Markets and Labor Productivity Research under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dilshod Abidov, along with other relevant representatives, as observers.

The main objectives of the session include:

Ratifying recommendations for the development of the “Green Productivity 2.0” (GP 2.0) ecosystem;

Assessing the activities undertaken by member countries to promote sustainable development and enhance labor productivity;

Discussing APO’s future work agenda and new initiatives.

This session serves as an important platform for experience sharing among APO member countries, fostering sustainable economic growth, improving productivity, and deepening institutional cooperation.

For reference: The Asian Productivity Organization (APO) is an intergovernmental organization established to enhance productivity in the Asia-Pacific region with the aim of ensuring economic development and sustainable growth. Currently, APO comprises 21 member states.

Although Uzbekistan is not yet a full member of APO, the country is participating in the session as an observer and is engaged in ongoing negotiations to attain full membership. This indicates Uzbekistan's growing commitment to expanding international cooperation in productivity and economic development.

APO supports its members by providing advisory services on national policy, acting as an analytical center, facilitating capacity-building initiatives, and serving as a platform for sharing knowledge and best practices aimed at increasing efficiency across the region.

This session marks a significant step in strengthening Uzbekistan's engagement in international economic cooperation, developing its national productivity system, and advancing the country's progress toward sustainable development goals.
